Pulse Juniors is one of the largest and most successful kids' running squads in NSW. Many of our kids hold current State and National records. To make sure the kids are training with others at the same level and working towards similar goals, our kids are split into groups.

Lilyfield Junior Squad sessions

We meet at the Pulse Performance lab on Lilyfield Road.

  • Mondays and Wednesdays at 5pm (Development and Performance squads)
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30pm (Development squads)
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5pm (Performance/ State/National athletes only)

Glenbrook Junior Squad sessions

We meet at Glenbrook Oval on the corner of Hare Street and the Great Western Highway.

  • Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30pm

Due to high demand, kids wanting to join Pulse Juniors must first qualify in a one-on-one session with Head Coach Dani. Dani will be looking for the right levels of fitness, motivation and enthusiasm needed to become a Pulsie. To enquire or book a session with Coach Dani, email info@pulseperformance.com.au

Our philosophy

Our kids train hard, smart and push themselves but they also have a lot of fun!

The Pulse Juniors squad has a reputation for consistently delivering awesome results - often setting new records and smashing PBs. And they always do it with a smile, and are quick to congratulate and support their fellow squad members and other competitors.

Pulsie Top Performers

Angus Beer

Pulse Junior Angus has consistently delivered awesome results since he started training with Coach Dani at nine years old.

Like the talented and hardworking superstar that he is, Angus most recently won three state titles over three days at the State Little Athletics Championships. On day one he won the 3km in 9:15:63 then on day two, it was the 800m in 2:00:24 and finally, on the third day he took the 1500m in 4:06:43.

He gave a sensational performance at the GPS Athletic Championships in May 2016, winning three gold medals for the 400m, 800m and 1500m events. Angus also smashed two of his previous GPS records, finishing the 400m in just 56 seconds and the 800m in a time of 2 minutes 5 seconds.

At the 2016 NSW State Athletic Championships in October, Angus did the double by winning both the 800m and 1500m titles in new best times 1:58 and 4:10. At Nationals in December, Angus smashed the 800m, setting a new record time.

In 2015, Angus became the All Schools National Champion for the 800m and 1500m events, and Cross Country National Champion. Watch this space for even more stunning results next year!

Josh O'Connell

Josh is a new Pulse Junior, having joined the squad just over 12 months ago but he has already posted some awesome results. Most recently, at the 2017 State Little Athletics Championships held in March, Josh took two State titles for the 800m and 1500m (Under 10s) events.

It's going to be a big year for Josh with the chance to make his first National All Schools Cross Country.

In 2016, Josh came 1st in Zone, Regionals and State School Cross Country Championships (Under 10s) and placed 2nd in the 800m NSW State All Schools Athletics Championships (Under 10s).

He also won and set new records for the 1500m and 800m in the Little Athletics Zone Championships (Under 10s).

Earlier in the year, Josh won the 800m at both the Little Athletics State and Regional Championships (Under 9s).

Angie Le Roux

Angie won three State titles in the 400m, 800m and 1500m (Under 9s) events at the 2017 State Little Athletics Championships held in March.
