Chrissy Ouzas is in her third year at the University of Sydney where she is studying Exercise Physiology.
She will be commencing her honours project this year researching "the effects of differing thermoregulation techniques on elite long distance running performance".
Chrissy completed her HSC in 2013, graduating from MLC School, where she was the Swimming Captain.
She has competed in swimming at a State level from the age of 8 and at an Age and Open National level from the age of 12. She has competed at numerous all age events such as the Australian Olympic Trials, with her pet event being the 200m Butterfly.
Chrissy has always enjoyed running, competing for her school in cross country and long distance track events as well as running to improve her fitness for her competitive swimming.
She is also participating in a selective internship at the NSW Institute of Sport, working exclusively with the Olympic Diving Squad. In this role she assists in developing a quantitative database of each divers training volume and load.
Chrissy currently enjoys coaching Pulse Performance squads on Monday and Wednesday afternoons under the guidance of Head Coach Dani Andres.
She also has current First Aid and CPR certificates.
Chrissy has a vibrant personality and is passionate about assisting athletes in achieving their goals.
